How to Borrow Books

Academic Collection

You can take up to five books at a time for 15 calendar days. You can renew them in person, in your personal account in the Printed Materials Catalogue, by phone or by email.

Fiction Collection

You can take up to five books at a time for 30 calendar days in the library at Myasnitskaya, 20 twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These books need to be reserved in advance in your personal account in the Printed Materials Catalogue. You can renew them personally, by phone or email, or using your account in Printed Materials Catalogue.

Reserving Single Copies

You need to reserve single copies in advance in your personal account in the Printed Materials Catalogue to work with them in the reading halls. Librarians select reserved books for 30 minutes. The books are then kept on the reservation shelf for two days. The selection are carried out Monday to Friday 10 a.m. – 8.30 p.m. and on Saturday 10 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.

Self-Service Stations

There are three self-service stations in the library at Pokrovsky boulevard, 11 and in the library at Myasnitskaya, 20. Don’t forget to ask a librarian to activate your HSE passcard before using the stations.
